Course Areas

TYPES OF INSTITUTIONAL APPROVAL
Affiliate Institutes
Top-tier institution among the group, with complete autonomy in course offerings. Affiliate Institutes enjoy the highest level of flexibility and benefits.
Course Flexibility:
Can offer any course from the ASMATEC-listed course areas or propose new course areas. New courses require syllabus submission for ASMATEC’s approval, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
Who Can Apply?
- Established institutions with a proven track record in education or training and with robust infrastructure, qualified faculty, and the capability to deliver a diverse range of courses.
- Institutions seeking maximum autonomy to design and deliver both listed and new, innovative programs under ASMATEC.
- Must demonstrate strong administrative capacity and financial stability.
Ideal For:
Colleges and medium-to-large educational organisations looking for premium affiliation and flexibility.
Fee:
- Annual Institutional Fee: AUD 800 (to be paid by the institution).
- Per-Student Fees: Each student pays additional registration fee of AUD 100, exam fee of AUD 10 per paper, and certificate fee of AUD 50.
- Institutions are expected to handle student fee collection and transfer the relevant amounts to ASMATEC as per the terms.
Associate Institutes
Second in hierarchy within the group, offering access to ASMATEC-listed course areas with the option to introduce customised programs for an additional fee.
Course Flexibility:
Can offer any course from the ASMATEC-listed course areas. May propose customised course areas not listed by ASMATEC, subject to additional fees based on course duration and fee charged to students.
Who Can Apply?
- Institutions with some experience in delivering education or training programs and with adequate infrastructure, faculty, and willingness to adhere to ASMATEC guidelines for course delivery.
- Institutions seeking to balance flexibility and structured support in program offerings.
Ideal For:
Emerging educational institutions aiming to enhance their portfolio and introduce additional courses.
Fee:
- Annual Institutional Fee: AUD 650 (to be paid by the institution).
- Customised Course Area Fee: AUD 250 per course areas.
- Per-Student Fees: Each student pays additional registration fee of AUD 100, exam fee of AUD 10 per paper, and certificate fee of AUD 50.
- Institutions are expected to handle student fee collection and transfer the relevant amounts to ASMATEC as per the terms.
Centre of Excellence (COE)
Focused on delivering ASMATEC’s curated short-term, competency-based training programs with an emphasis on employability.
Course Flexibility:
Can offer any course from the ASMATEC-listed course areas. Cannot propose or introduce customised course areas beyond the listed ASMATEC portfolio.
Who Can Apply?
- Institutions focused on skill development and short-term competency-based training and with infrastructure to support hands-on, practical education.
- Institutions looking to establish themselves as skill-training specialists in collaboration with ASMATEC.
Ideal For:
Training centres, vocational schools, and smaller institutions focused on employability skills.
Fee:
- Annual Institutional Fee: AUD 400 (to be paid by the institution).
- Per-Student Fees: Each student pays additional registration fee of AUD 100, exam fee of AUD 10 per paper, and certificate fee of AUD 50.
- Institutions are expected to handle student fee collection and transfer the relevant amounts to ASMATEC as per the terms.
